Here is the second part of the idioms that Americans usually used in their daily conversations. Enjoy learning them!

SCRATCH SOMEONE’S BACK- I’ll scratch your back, you scratch mine. I’ll help you if you promise to return the favor.

TURN SOMEONE OFF- His eating with his mouth full really disgusted me. It really turned me off.

KICK THE BUCKET- He suddenly kicked the bucket before he even seen his house finished. He could’ve seen his fruit of his labor before he died.

WET BLANKET- Jamie is such a wet blanket in every occasion that he and his friends are into. He would always keep others from enjoying themselves by his pessimism and lack of enthusiasm.

UP ONE’S SLEEVES- We know you have something up your sleeves. Better your concealed plan must be for the good of the company.

KNOCK SOMEONE’S SOCKS OFF- You should check out our new innovation. It will knock your socks off! Its uses and technology will surely amaze and shock you.

OUT OF THE WOODS- James may have been feeling well now but he is not out of the woods yet. He has to be more careful since he is not out of danger yet with his sickness.

EATING SOMEONE- What’s eating you today? Is anyone bothering or upsetting

you?

ON THE LINE- Tom’s performance has put his position on the line. He has to do better this year to avoid his work be put on a big risk.

HANG ON- Despite of depression, my family was able to hang on, one way or another. We have persevered to overcome our problems.

MAKE ENDS MEET- It’s difficult to deal with expenses nowadays, when you really want to make ends meet. My salary is barely enough to pay all the bills.

MONEY TALKS- There is a rumor that he was paid for his vote. Well, money talks! Money indeed has a power to influence people.

THE EARLY BIRD CATCHES THE WORM- Be very early tomorrow to take the front seat right away. Remember, an early bird catches the worm!

IN THE PINK- Cody looks in the pink. Just look at him, fit, healthy and happy.

FEEL BLUE- I’m feeling blue right now. You don’t have an idea how it feels to be down and depressed.

IN BLACK AND WHITE- The rule is clearly written, black and white. So you must follow it.

BLACK SHEEP- Do not think that you are the black sheep in the family. You are not bad and worthless.

EAT HUMBLE PIE- I am ready to eat the humble pie with what I did to the maintenance staff. I need to publicly apologize to the one I have offended.

THE APPLE OF ONE’S EYE- Ric is really fond of his pet dog. It must really be the apple of his eyes.

GO BANANAS- Don’t behave angrily or loudly in front of the customers. I know you have gone bananas with work but please calm down.

A PIECE OF CAKE- Consider it done, sir! The work is easy…Just a piece of cake.

AS COOL AS A CUCUMBER- Ram is always as cool as a cucumber. He is so calm and relaxed and is never caught off guard of things.

    this is so stupid, doesnt have anything to do with call center related jobs.who will use the phrase BLACK SHEEP in a call center conversation? that’s none other than me.
