It is important that you know the nature of your customers so you can prepare yourself to different situations without holding your guard down.

1. “I know the value of my buck.”

Do not be surprised to get an irate customer call for missing cents. Every dime counts in their world.

2. “I am always in a rush.”

It is uncommon to talk to an American consumer who has more than one job. He values his time and he expects others to be aware of it.

3. “I know my rights.”

Your average American consumer is aware of his/her rights and won’t be afraid to speak up if they believe these rights are being ignored or abused.

4. “I deserve and expect respect.”

Regardless of their own behavior, American consumers demand that they be treated with respect and courtesy.

5. “I am willing to pay for convenience.”

It’s already given that time is precious to your American consumer, but they are more than willing to pay extra if they believe the product will help them save time or relax or both.
