Here are some of the types of interviews that you might encounter as you apply a job in a call center.
1. The Screening Interview. This is the preliminary round of interview that usually takes place in the human resource department or in a job fair. It is likely that the applicant will be asked about his or herself, qualifications, job experience, and so on.
2. The Behavioral Interview. Possible situations in a workplace are presented hypothetically to the applicant which intends which intend to make the applicant relate his/her past experience with them. This tests the ability of the applicant to deal with situations and will also make the employer see how the applicant was during his/her past employment and how he/she will be in the future.
3. The Stress Interview. This type of interview can be equated to an interrogation. The questions tend to confuse the applicant, and make the applicant feel fearful and defensive. It is important that the applicant maintains a calm disposition and truly he/she will endure this kind of interview.
4. The Panel Interview. The applicant will be asked by two or more interviewers and alternately ask the applicant questions. This type of interview lessens the bias or the subjectivity of evaluation on the applicant since the results of the interview will be discussed well and thoroughly.
You may encounter one type of interview or some combinations of these in the whole application process, and it is important that you be ready and confident to face them and learn from these.
